Just like the post office staff, I am a little scint voice
against the great powers of the big organizations, the government DES.
I taught for 30 years in schools and FE before working for
the DES at the National Management College for FE and HE (Coombe Lodge, FESC,
The Staff College,)
After I retired from there (legally agreeing on a redundancy
package with them) but continued to teach for Lighthouse Professional
Development CPD, Network training, SFE, CEM, and Key stages. The college
management then moved to London, DES sold the company for many millions of
pounds, and became Network skills, which then went into administration then
Liquidation.
But my agreement for them to pay me a pension for life WAS
NOT COVERED in their sale.
So I have had no pension from them since Nov 2011.
I have been addressing this for years now and had to give
up, it takes away my energy and I was treated for cancer which I think stress
can exacerbate the condition. My last hope was to talk with my conservative MP
who took it to the House of Parliament, no joy just fobbed off. I
then took it up with our next labour MP in Brighton and referred to a solicitor
but the outcome was that KMPG was not at fault for stopping my pension.
I was never accusing KMPG It was the government gaining
millions of pounds but omitting to protect the little people's little pensions
that they had agreed to before gaining their millions by selling their previous
public educational business, for whom I worked.
I am exhausted with it all and as I write I wonder what is
the point all over again being ignored, and betrayed, as I have zero trust in
the government DES. Or having anyone to empathize with the little voice.
